Soccer team has high expectations for this season

The soccer season has officially begun. Soccer try outs were held on February 1-5. The team is very confident they will do well with so many returning players and new players.

After having only one wrestler advancing to the State Championship last season, the Keenan wrestling team has high confidence and is determined to dominate this season’s matches.

“I believe in the boys, and by the way they are practicing, I see a championship team,” Coach Pablo Rivera, assistant coach, said.

Keenan is starting the tryouts for the upcoming volleyball season. Hoping for a year like the one before or better, Head Coach Anita Mobley is excited for the great potential coming in from the middle schools.

Lady Raiders aim to go further

After coming up short last season the Lady Raiders look to show resistance and make a comeback for the 2015 season. After star player Junior Day-sha Stewart was injured last season, the team was short a pitcher and had to regroup.

The Lady Raiders had a record of 3-7 last season.

One goal of Keenan’s baseball team is to overcome last year’s disappointment. The Raiders finished 6-4 (3-2 in region play) last year, missing the playoffs.

Their main focus of this year is to first make the playoffs.

Lady Raiders give insight on how they operate

The Lady Raiders basketball season has begun with high hopes to make it to the championship in March. Sophomore Isis Hill, who plays for Keenan’s varsity division, described what she goes through when she’s on the court. The tactic Hill uses to prepare for a game is listening to music.

Raiders prepare to make home run

Officer Clarence Black, softball coach, is preparing for a good season with the help of Ms. Keisha Stewart, softball coach.

Track team runs to become state champions

While track team members are trying to become state champions, Coach Charles Proctor, track coach, has them doing the unexpected. Conditioning has officially started for track in the spring.

Keenan wrestling team looking forward to season
