Raiders march for the last time

Keenan’s JROTC program had their last parade for the school year on Friday May 4. The parade occurred at the Midlands Center around the corner from Keenan. There were all kinds of differently decorated cars out there. The music was loud and exciting; it motivated the cadets even more.

Cadets march towards achievement

On March 22, JROTC held its National Awards Ceremony at Dreher High School. The awards ceremony recognized those leaders who are honorable, respectful and trustworthy. The Army Instructors from each high school nominated their students to win special awards.

School celebrities dance on Red Carpet

JROTC had its Military Ball on March 16, 2012. The cadets had fun, but there were some things that needed a little more work. The ball did not really go as planned. Everyone was dancing like they were at a real Red Carpet Event.

Raiders take action in the community

On February 18, Keenan’s JROTC helped the community out by cleaning up on Pisgah Church Road. Students are willing to take on some responsibilities to make their community a better place.

Cadets work hard to plan Military Ball

The Military Ball will be held on March 16. The cadets are working hard to put the pieces together so that the Ball will be perfect. Tickets have been on sale since February 6.

JROTC will dance in the spotlight

The JROTC Raider Battalion is having its Military Ball on March 16. The cadets are working to put the Ball together and make it better than last year.

“I feel like having the ball will reward all the cadets for their hard work during this school year,” Senior Kareisha Boyd said.

JROTC holds drill meet

Keenan’s JROTC Drill Team had its last drill competition on December 1 at Dreher High School. The Drill Meet involved schools from District One. The cadets worked hard to place 1st in the District, but they fell short; instead they received 2nd and 3rd in another event that occurred.
