Chief Ella Robinson-Byrd joined the Raider staff as of May 30, 2017.
Robinson-Byrd has been a JROTC (Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps) instructor for 13 years. She teaches a lot about the real world. She doesn’t sugar coat anything. Students say she is a true person. It’s helpful to have the female perspective on things.
Keenan JROTC cadets compete in all types of drill meets. Drill meets are the competitions in which cadets from all over compete against one another. The activities they compete in are where one cadet calls a series of commands while the team executes them. One specific drill meet Keenan cadets competed in was the District Drill Competition. The purpose of JROTC collecting canned goods is to feed the hungry and to give back to the community during the holidays. JROTC continued to collect non-perishable items until January 16.

The mighty Keenan Army JROTC Raider Battalion kicked off the new school year proudly wearing the new Army Service Uniform (ASU). Cadets appear to stand just a little taller in that uniform versus the old green one.
