Delta GEMS helps families during holiday season

Keenan helps the LLS

Keenan students, faculty and staff came together this past February to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS).

The LLS is the largest voluntary health organization to dedicate their time to finding cures, research and getting access to treatments for blood cancer patients.

Keenan gives hope for the holidays

Keenan’s JROTC classes teamed up to donate food and clothes for the Harvest Hope Food Bank starting on November 28, 2016.

This production was not only for JROTC classes to contribute to but the whole school as well.

Keenan Blood Drive saves lives

Mrs. Sahara White, National Honors Society advisor, is in charge of the blood drive that happened on November 22, 2016. Forty-five people at Keenan donated blood this year, one pint each being given.

“It takes approximately 10-12 minutes to give blood,” White said.

A couple of pies in the face won’t hurt!

To raise money for Keenan’s Parent Teacher and Student Association (PTSA), Mrs. Evita George, president of the PTSA, came up with the idea of a pie-throwing fundraiser. In the commons area, on November 23, 2016, students bought tickets for $1.00 to throw pies at the teacher of their choice.

Keenan Student Council concludes 2016 Pasta for Pennies campaign

The 2016 Pasta for Pennies Fundraiser has come to a close. Pasta for Pennies is an annual fundraising campaign hosted by the Keenan Student Council to raise money and awareness for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The fundraiser lasted for exactly a month. Every teacher with a 2nd block B Day class was given a box to collect donations. The class with the most money raised would win a catered lunch from Olive Garden. Preserving the Planet with the “Planeteers”
