Senior students throughout the school are preparing for their life after high school.

Graduation is a time that brings many different emotions for senior students. There is the joy of finally completing high school and also the sorrow of leaving some of the best memories behind.

Many students try to make the most of their summer before college.

Senior DaShawna Black is doing just that.

“I want to have as much fun as I can this summer before I go off to college,” Black said. “I’m taking a trip to the beach my friends. It’s going to be one of the last times we’re all together before we go our separate ways.”

Seniors have many different plans after high school. Some will continue their education at a college or university. Others may go on to serve in the armed forces. That’s what Senior Jan Nieto is doing.

“After graduation I will be enlisting in the United States Air Force,” he said.

Graduation opens the doors for many opportunities for graduates. The possibilities may seem limitless as graduates begin to decide where they will take their lives.

Senior Felicity Lucas is a bright-eyed, optimistic senior with a world of possibilities available to her.

“Going to college is an exciting experience,” Lucas said. “I don’t know where my path will take me, but I’m definitely looking forward to it.”
