Senior D’Montre’ Smith signed to Norfolk State University on February 7 for football.

“I am going to this school to major in Secondary Teaching,” he said.

This will be Plan B for Smith because his first is trying to get into the NFL.

“I’m very blessed that a college coach came to my house and sat in my living room and told me everything was taken care of,” Smith said.

Family and friends were very happy for Smith having a full ride and having the opportunity to go to college.

“I feel proud of him and glad to support him and his accomplishments,” Senior A’laysia Hill said.

Smith played Offensive and Defensive line.

He had 29 solo tackles, 29 assists, and 19 pancake blocks and was over all graded at 95%.

“Tre has great leadership and grew a lot over time and has become a wonderful young man; I know Tre will go and do big things,” Coach Sean Gilly said.
