The Keenan baseball team is coming out of their three preseason games and are preparing for their first regular season game against Gray Collegiate Academy.

Last year the Keenan Raiders defeated Gray 5-4 with a game winning catch by Senior Tykesse Watson.

“We as a team need to start taking practice more seriously or this is going to be a real long season,“ Head Coach Demond Logan said after losing two out of three of the preseason games.

After losing multiple seniors in the past three years, many of the younger players are going to have to step up in order for this organization to be successful.

“The way to win games is to limit errors and get routine outs,” Junior Shaquille O’Neil, one out of three team captains, said.

The Raiders have been working in the offseason, trying to improve their game and are hopeful that the hard work pays off during game time.

“As a team we need better communication on the field and when we are up to bat we need to make contact with the ball and that the other team makes errors just like we do,” Junior Louis Anderson said.
