Players are continuing their journeys of being athletes by signing to colleges on Feb. 4. They have the talents and grades to achieve this goal.
Senior Kendric Gathers has offers from South Carolina State, Wingate, Lenoir Rhyne, Newberry and Union College. Kendric wants to major in sports communication while attending one of these colleges.
“This process is very stressful, but I love it,” Gathers said.
Another player is also signing a letter of intent to play college football. Senior Khi Baker has an offer from Limestone College; he will probably attend this college to major in education or coaching.
“A lot of stress is brought forth, but I am grateful of the opportunity to play football” Baker said.
The school and program are great supporters of these two players and their families.
“For players’ basically hard work and dedication up till senior season gives the players the opportunity to pursue college football,” Coach Freddie Solomon, wide receivers coach, said.
Going to college is a dream come true for these players.
