Keenan’s tennis team finished off the year on a good note. The tennis team accomplished the goals set for them this season.

The Raiders improved on last season’s efforts.

“We won a lot more matches this year,” Sophomore Deja Williams said.

Williams ranked third in region 2A.

Junior Jada Cochran and Sophomore Gabby Washington both wanted to win the rest of their games after mid-season. Throughout the season, the players began to gel and bond with one another.

“We love each other,” Cochran said.

A team’s improvement can derive from team chemistry.

“We have a good friendship,” Williams said, “We need more practice to better ourselves over the summer.”

Now the tennis team will focus on making improvements for next year’s season. The athletes had an upbeat attitude.

“We’re going to have more confidence next year,” Washington said.

Tennis team members have an optimistic outlook for next year’s season.
