Mrs. Anita Mobley worked at Columbia High School for 16 years. While there she taught Physical Education and was the head volleyball coach.
Here at Keenan, Mobley teaches Physical Education One along with Personal Health and Aerobics and Body Conditioning. Mobley is very happy with the teachers and students at Keenan.
“The teachers are very friendly and helpful, and the students are willing to learn to improve their physical conditioning,” Mobley said.
Mobley is enjoying her time here and has also taken the position of head volleyball coach.
“I am very excited, and coaching is teaching,” Mobley said.
“Lady Raiders Taking It to the Next Level” is the newly adopted motto of the team.
Mobley has much history with Keenan. She is an alumna and has several family members who are alumni. Mrs. Regina Thurmond, former Project Goal Director, is Mobley’s sister. Mobley is married and has a 12-year-old son, which makes her ideal for dealing with youth.
Her students speak highly of her.
“Coach Mobley is a great teacher and encourages us to do our best in class,” Sophomore David Davila said.
Mobley also receives a lot of positive encouragement and help from the other coaches in the building.
“We are very happy and excited to have Coach Mobley at Keenan High School,” Coach Reggie McClain, Basketball Coach, said. “She’s an excellent coach and teacher, and she is going to be a great asset to our athletic program and school.”
