Ms. Ashley Horton is a former teacher at Sandalwood High School in Jacksonville, Florida.  There she taught chemistry and chemistry honors.

At Keenan she continues to teach chemistry and also teaches anatomy and physiology.   Horton is enthusiastic about her experience at Keenan.

“Keenan is a really structured school and has a great administration,” Horton said.

Horton was raised in Santee, South Carolina, and has friends who graduated from Keenan.  She has two sons (ages seven- and 11-years-old). When she’s not spending time with her family, she likes working with the students and teachers at Keenan.

Horton also thinks the staff at Keenan is supportive, and the students are respectful and understand the consequences of their actions.  Her students also seem to be happy with her.

“Ms. Horton is a good teacher who teaches in new, different ways,” Sophomore Keyannah Priester said.

Horton seems to be happy with her time at Keenan. She’s also getting positive encouragement from her fellow teachers.

“[She seems] enthusiastic and [we are] happy to have her,” Mrs. Kristin Bullington, Science teacher, said.
