The Keenan Raider Football Team faced North Central High School on Friday, October 4, 2013, for Homecoming at Bolden Stadium. The Raiders defeated North Central with a final score of 40-12.

“This was my first Homecoming as head coach,” Coach Quin McCollum said.

Under McCollum’s leadership, touchdowns were scored by Seniors Peter Easaw and Jordan Reid and Junior Kendrick Gathers.

“The key is focus. I’m always overly cautious and concerned about distractions and [the] mental focus of our team,” McCollum said.

The Raiders worked hard to get the win Homecoming evening.

“Even with all the music, loud screaming and noise from the fans, it all zones out once you enter the stadium,” Sophomore Jalon Wilson, football player, said.

The fans seemed to also enjoy the game.

“I feel our Raiders had a good game, and we earned our victory,” Ms. Cynthia Neal, parent and fan, said.
