Teacher Appreciation Week was May 5-May 11.

The Unity Princesses showed their appreciation throughout the week.  On Monday, May 6, the Unity Princesses brought in gifts for their favorite teachers.

Freshman Amber Stone, Unity Princess, brought in Expo markers and a cosmetic kit that included nail polishes, nail files and candles for her favorite teacher.

“I chose Mrs. Young-Williams simply because…she has taught me a lot,” Stone said.

Freshman Jana Praileau, Unity Princess, brought in a basket filled with candy, fruit and an elephant, which symbolizes the Delta Sigma Theta sorority; she gave this gift to Ms. Dalphine Humphrey, Guidance Counselor.

“I like her personality, and she’s a great role model,” Praileau said.

On Tuesday, May 7, the Unity Princesses had an ice cream social for the teachers.

“The social turned out to be a huge success,” Mrs. Alexandria Williams, Unity Princesses Sponsor, said.

There was vanilla ice cream with several toppings, which included sprinkles, strawberries, nuts, chocolate syrup, M&M’s and Oreos

“I don’t know how they did it, but it was good, “Coach James Johnson, Campus Monitor, said.
