This year’s basketball season should be very interesting, Sophomore Starter Bryson Reed said.  He is a member of the JV Basketball Team. He said it has been a great honor to play for Keenan’s basketball program this year.

Reed feels like it is going to be a good season with a great coaching staff and great teammates.  Reed also said the team’s win over A.C. Flora was very successful, although he feels they could have done better defensively. As Team Captain, he feels the players have room for improvement, taking it day by day.

As far as the undefeated Varsity Boys’ Basketball Team goes, they faced Oak Hill Academy December 14.  Coach Zachary Norris has said that he expects nothing less than big things from this year’s team.  Norris thinks that the Varsity squad has the talent to accomplish what he expects of them.

Norris feels the players control their own destiny as to how they would like this year’s season to go.

“Our boys have been working hard; time, effort, dedication, and hard work to do great things,” Norris said.

Norris hopes that fans will continue to come out and support the Raider Nation.  If fans come out to support the Raiders they will be in for a treat.

“I think coming off the Oak Hill loss, we still have the swagger to bounce back and win the whole Chick-Fil-A Classic this year.  I am expecting big things from my bro, Ken[dric Gathers],” Sophomore Roderick Jones, JV Small Forward, said.
