On Thursday, April 26, 2012, a blood drive was held in the Keenan Auditorium from 9:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M. The blood drive was successful enough to collect 34 units of blood.

“I think we were successful because lot of people came; as the blood drive was going on more people were being added to the list to collect blood,” Senior Natalia Gathers said.                                                                                                                                                                          The blood drive was sponsored by Ms. Mary Haile, National Honor Society Advisor, and its members. Their job was to assist the Red Cross Blood Services.

“Our role was to set up the tables, chairs, snacks and also to sign students and adults into the computer,” Senior Tavonta Hilton said.

Overall, the blood drive was successful, and the blood given will help save lives.

“It was success to me because I was helping saving someone’s life,” Senior Taliaferro Robinson-Heyward said.

The Keenan Raiders were successful in their goal of collecting blood.
