The Concert Band attended District One’s Concert Festival on March 14. This took place from 12:00 P.M. to 5:30 P.M.

“All District One schools and several other schools around the state [attended the concert festival],” Mr. Brandon Hopkins, Band Director, said.

This is the second year in a row that the Keenan Concert Band has received a superior rating.

“[The pieces of music are judged] according to the balance of the assembly, execution of the ensemble and instrumentation,’’ Hopkins said.

The music pieces that were performed and played were Level 4 and Level 5, which means that the pieces of music are on the college level.

“The pieces of music that the concert band…perform[ed] are In Strom & Sunshine, Romanesque and Ballade,” Hopkins said.
