South Carolina voter registration has been going on recently. In the state of South Carolina, there are three ways citizens can register—in person, by mail or going to the DMV.

“I will be voting next year; I signed up through school,” Senior Ikeal Hopkins said.

In order to vote people have to be citizens of the U.S. They have to be at least 18. They have to be mentally competent, and they can’t be convicted felons. People vote in order to make a difference.

“I’m exercising my right,” Senior Tyskie Haynes-Suber said.

The registered voters will play their part in society and make a big change in the world, but some think otherwise.

“I believe our votes don’t count because they’re going to do what they want,” Senior Tiana Hagler said.
