The African American History Month assembly on February 24th was a great success by most accounts.

“I think it was a positive enrichment to the African American community,” Junior Costonzo Bryant- Martin said.

First the Keenan Singers sang some black spirituals.

“I really liked the songs and the dance part,” Sophomore Rickey Willis said.

Then the orchestra played a few selections followed by a performance by the Jazz Band and Dance students.

“The program was enlightening, very educational and a good experience for students,” Mr. Brandon Hopkins, Band Director, said.
