In late January two football players, Juniors Matrick Belton and Tyler George, received the title of All-Region and All-Area in football.

Given through the recognition of other coaches, Belton and George received these honors based on their outstanding performance on the field.

George plays Outside Linebacker for the Raiders, with 93 tackles in 8 games, 12 tackles for a loss of yards, 2 sacks, 2 fumble recoveries and 5 forced fumbles.

“I’m honored to have this award and to be representing Keenan with the award,” George said.

Belton is a Wide-Receiver for the Raiders with 600 yards in 10 games, 5 touchdowns, and 48 interceptions.

“I feel that this is a great opportunity and I am expecting greater things next season,” Belton said.

Head Football Coach Mitchell Moton is very proud of these two players.

“Anytime any student athlete gets an accolade for doing something positive, it’s a plus for our school and community,” Moton said.

Due to the success of these two players, the Raiders can look forward to a great season next year.
